The Financial Industry Disputes Resolution Centre or FIDReC is an independent and impartial Alternative Dispute Resolution institution. It is the premier centre specialising in the resolution of financial disputes between consumers and financial institutions. We are actively seeking qualified candidates to join us in the role of Operations Manager.
 
Job Responsibilities
  • In co-ordination with the CEO, the operations manager will be responsible for the smooth functioning of the organisation on a day-to-day basis.
  • The operations manager will need to work with all key departments in the organisation (including contact centre operations, alternative dispute resolution, human resources, and finance) to understand their needs, and work towards improving their workflows and processes.
  • Monitor and promote high quality team performance, including tracking staffing requirements and hiring.
  • Track the risks of the organisation, reporting directly to the Audit and Risk Committee in this respect.
  • Ensure compliance with the organisation’s policies and procedures, including those relating to data protection and data collection for statistical reporting.
  • Support the management in review and implementation of strategic objectives and key projects with a view to improving the organisation.
  • Undertake other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Relevant management and operations experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (including documentation and writing skills) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational ability and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Maturity, motivation, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Competent in using Microsoft productivity tools, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding of alternative dispute resolution and knowledge of consumer financial products will be helpful, although training will be provided.
